If we look hard enough, there is some sort of good that can be found in almost every person.
We are not born with hatred toward others. It is taught.
In living the golden rule.
Technology isn't everything.
Parents should love and care for their children no matter how they turn out or who they turn into.
Marriage is a sacred commitment.
Laughter has healing powers.
We don't have to agree with everything a person does to be friends with them.
Every person, no matter how small, or different, has immense value.
A phone call, letter, or visit is more meaningful than a text message.
Sometimes we just need to turn off all the distractions and think.
We don't have to be popular to be happy.
There are no coincidences.
God created us for a purpose. We just have to find it.
Sorry this is kind of random. I've just had a lot on my mind lately. What kind of old-fashioned principles do you believe in? Leave a comment below if you like! Well, have a great Monday!
Make yourself at home and stick around for awhile! |
This post is so true. Sometimes it is hard to see the good in people and things. Especially when we are down. I have been struggling the last couple days myself. Thanks for this posting!

Thank you so much Paula! It means a lot because I am so new at this. Glad you like it and thanks for following back! :0)
DeleteSuch great principles! I'm a new follower from the Mom's Monday Mingle.

Thanks for the follow! I followed you back :0)
DeleteI must be old fashion too, because I agree with all your points!
ReplyDeleteIt is so encouraging to know that I am not the only one :0) Thanks for the comment!
DeleteI was raised to have manners and the one thing that truly comes to mind is to treat other the way you would want to be treated, because I do still do this daily. By the way, thnk you for stopping by my blog and sp very happy to return the favor!! :)
ReplyDeleteI was raised that way too. It's such a simple rule, but also a powerful one! Thanks for following back :0)
DeleteI agree about letters and phone calls instead of text messages. I love getting and writing letters :) Thanks for the follow, followed you back!
ReplyDeletehttp://wvfrugal-wvsaver.blogspot.com
Thanks! Yeah texting just kind of bugs me. It's so impersonal.
DeleteReturning the love from Life with Moore Babies! I agree with all you have posted, and I have three kitties of my own!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Awesome :0) I bet they are adorable!
DeleteHi Rachael, it's Anne from Life on the Funnt Farm, and I'm following you back.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list!
Love it...
Thanks for following back! I LOVE your blog :0)
DeleteThanks for stopping by today!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by also!
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog! I'm following you and look forward to reading your past posts. I love the list you put together - I am old fashioned if believing those things equals old fashioned!
ReplyDeleteYeah, some of them may not be that old-fashioned, but it sometimes seems like a lot of them have gone out of style. Thanks for the follow back. I appreciate it!
DeleteHey Rachael thanks for stopping by The TT Diaries. I really agree with you on many of the points you made. Everybody no matter how small does have worth.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
DeleteIf you've many of my blogs, then you know I have a lot of old fashioned beliefs as well. ;) I believe in marriage and the commitments through it all. I also believe in kids having respect for elders.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by my blog and commenting and following me today. :)
Thank you for the follow back!! That's another thing I believe in too. I'm only 20 year old, but it makes me absolutely sick when I see kids disrespect their parents and elders. And marriage is just so very sacred and not to be taken lightly. Thank you again :0)
DeleteHi! Your blog's name is super cute! Following you now.

Javeriya @Believe&Inspire
Thanks! The name was my fiance's idea!
DeleteFirm believer in there are no coincidences! Following you back via GFC, networked blog and liked your Fb page--I think it will show up under the name marcia Doyle. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following! :0)
DeleteTotally agree about the texting thing! Same goes with Facebook comments. When I had my baby, over 30 people liked/commented on my FB status but only 2 or 3 people besides my immediate family actually came to see me. For some reason, people think FB can replace real contact.
ReplyDeleteFB is good for one thing though...getting your blog going. So check out my page - http://www.facebook.com/countmyblessings1
I found you on the Monday Mingle.
I'm following you on Facebook! Thanks for the follow :0) Yeah, I agree with you about Facebook. It's just not always good for people...
DeleteLooks like we have a lot in common. We think alike! I'm a cat lover too! Thanks for following me. I'm following you now too!
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvia, thank you so very much for following us back! Cats are just great aren't they? :0)
DeleteHi, Rachael! Thanks for following Shona Skye Creations! I'm following you back via GFC. LOVE your fur-babies!!

Hello Monica, thanks for returning the favor!
DeleteLove this I have been married for 15 years and this speaks to me
ReplyDeleteI'm really happy you like this! Thanks for stopping by :0)
DeleteI agree with everything completely! I've just been pondering what kind of world it would be if everyone raised their children to believe along those same lines. If we tell our children it is a beautiful, loving, supportive world they'll grow up believing it!
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Lovely blog! Thank you for visiting mine!
Yeah, the world would be a much happier place, that's for sure!
DeleteSo true. New follower and thank you for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and commenting! I appreciate it very much :0)

ReplyDeleteHi, I love the name of your blog, so cute! And thanks very much for following back!
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog. I'm following you now too. Yes what great thoughts, to not get bogged down in negativity about other people. Also I am so pleased I don't have a smart phone so don't have to obsessively check for texts and keep in touch 24/7.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's nice. I don't have one either :0) Thanks for coming by to follow me!
DeleteThis is a great post. I do agree about the marriage. I have been married for three years now and for me, marriage is forever :) Thanks for stopping by at The Pink Momma :)
ReplyDeleteAnne
Yes I totally agree! Marriage is meant to last forever. And I hate to hear all the statistics about divorce, getting higher everyday.. Thanks for following us and I hope you'll stick around so we can get to know each other better!
DeleteWelcome to the blog world! Great post! Totally agree! Thanks so much for stopping by our blog! Hope you have a great week! :)

Thank you for coming by!
DeleteFollowing you back! I love this post. It is so true, I believe people aren't bad, they might make poor decisions but there is good in everyone.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Whitney
Yeah, ever since I was a child, I have always tried to live by this priciple! If we see only the bad in people, we'll see only the bad in everything! Thanks for coming by and following! It means a lot :0)
DeleteI love old fashioned values.. My grandparents set such a wonderful example and I love hearing stories about how they were brought up. Its so hard in this day and age but I think its really important for us to try and teach our children those values too. I really hope I am doing a good job with this.
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower from the blog hop!
I look forward to reading more!
